Amazon’s hand selected list of 100 Kindle books for $3.99 or less is up for this month. There are several interesting choices, as usual, including a cookbook Guy Fieri.
The guys updating the Nook Daily Find page are now half-awake and have updated the Daily Find (but not the Election 2012) for the day: Blood Rights ($7.99 Kindle, $2.99 B&N), the first novel in the House of Comarré series by Kristen Painter. It’s an Agency priced title, so should be the same in both stores; I’ve reported the lower price at Amazon and hope this one drops by late afternoon.
Born into a life of secrets and service, Chrysabelle’s body bears the telltale marks of a comarré — a special race of humans bred to feed vampire nobility. When her patron is murdered, she becomes the prime suspect, which sends her running into the mortal world…and into the arms of Malkolm, an outcast vampire cursed to kill every being from whom he drinks.
Now, Chrysabelle and Malkolm must work together to stop a plot to merge the mortal and supernatural worlds. If they fail, a chaos unlike anything anyone has ever seen will threaten to reign.
